Mason Jar Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes #SundaySupper

Happy Sunday Funday friends!

Summer started this week for my kids and that means lots of delicious summertime food and treats with the kiddos at the pool! Their favorite drink is homemade Strawberry Lemonade so I decided for this week's Sunday Supper, with a Easy Barbecue Recipes theme, I would make a dessert inspired this delicious drink: Mason Jar Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes.

I used boxed cake mix to save time and I jazzed them up with additional eggs, oil, and pudding mix to make them extra moist. I added fresh lemon zest to the lemon cake and fresh juice and zest to the whipped frosting so the lemonade flavor would stand out. The final touch: serve in mason jars with a spoon tied on the side. Fun, portable, and tasty too!
These stacked cakes topped with lemon cream cheese frosting are a pretty semi homemade treat. Served in a mason jar they are perfect for picnics, parties, and for mailing as gifts!

We brought this platter to a Memorial Day picnic at my husband's work. It is such a pretty presentation and everyone, especially the kids, loved it!

I cut wooden skewers in half to make these cute kabobs.
You could also use larger fruit {strawberries, bananas} and keep them full size.

I made this for dinner and my girls thought it was fantastic!
It's always fun thinking of clever ways to serve them fruits and veggies!

Crock-Pot Hot Dogs for a Crowd and Mickey Hot Diggity Dog Bar

    Hi Foodie friends!
I hope you were able to check out our Disney Kids Preschool Playdate posted earlier this month. The kids had a blast at a local park with all their friends at their Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party sponsored by Disney. We made Mickey Mouse Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Treats as favors and the hit of the party was our DIY Mickey Waffle Bar
Today I wanted to share a few more fun details from our party preparations and another Mickey themed food display, our Mickey Hot Diggity Dog Bar. To save time and trouble I served the hot dogs in a large Crock-Pot along with all the fixins' on the side. I am telling you this is the way to go if you are feeding a crowd! I had 24 hot dogs in my slow cooker and all I did was plug it in at the beginning of setting up the party and voila they are hot and ready to go when guests start lining up for food!

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter and Honey Protein Pancakes

It's Movie Monday again and that means we are sharing another tasty recipe inspired by a newly released movie. This month's movie is Wonder Woman and Ava and I are super stoked to have a movie date to watch it! The movie comes out in theaters on June 2nd.
Wonder Woman has been featured in DC Comics for 75 years so it's about dang time a movie came out about her! I love seeing powerful women warriors on the big screen and I love that Ava has a female superhero to look up to.
I knew I wanted to create a recipe that would give my kiddos the energy and strength of their favorite female superhero so I came up with these delish Peanut Butter and Honey Protein Pancakes. I always struggle with getting them to eat breakfast and the easier {and mess free} the better! I made a big batch this week of these pancakes and I'm happy to say Ava gobbled them up!
Make some for you and your family today and you'll feel strong and powerful
    like Wonder Woman too!

Princess Fruit Wands and Mother's Day Tea Party

     Happy Mother's Day friends!

I am one blessed Mama, with two beautiful, sweet little girls who have made me oh so happy!
To celebrate Mother's Day we had a fun tea party at a local park a couple weeks ago.
We dressed up, made bite size treats, brewed chocolate tea, and I even brought along my Nana's fancy china tea set! We had a wonderful time and I will cherish the photos always!

    Hummus Flower Power Dip

Happy National Hummus Day! We are a huge hummus lovin' family here so we created my kiddos a pretty Hummus Flower Power Dip to enjoy at snack time today. Use any flavored hummus you want and add veggie dippers as the flower petals and voila a healthy hummus treat!
My creative hubby loves making fun food for our girls.
Check out his ants on a log and fruit platter.

DIY Mickey Waffle Bar and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Disney Kids Preschool Playdate Party

I have some exciting new for y'all!
We were asked by Disney Parks to host a Disney Kids Preschool Playdate this year!
Needless to say the kids and I were thrilled!
They sent us a suitcase full of party supplies, games, and gifts and the girls and I set to work planning our first Disney Kids Preschool Playdate
We decided on a playdate at our local park with fun outdoor games and picnic style food.
That was easy but choosing a theme wasn't so simple! We went back and forth with ideas because there are SO many Disney shows and movies! Finally, we agreed on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the girls' favorite show on the Disney Channel.
I ordered these fun printable invites on Etsy. Find similar here.
One of the most popular foods that we served at the party was the Mickey Shaped Waffles.
If you have been to Disney World you have probably seen these fun waffles on the breakfast buffets.
We ordered a Mickey Waffle Maker off Amazon and made a huge platter Belgian style thick and soft waffles and served them with all the toppings. Check out all the details below.
The super talented Keichel Cookies made these amazing cookies for our party!
